Hi Everyone!
I hope you all have had a lovely start to your summer! We've been busy cooking up jams and baking galettes loaded with summer fruit and it is a blast to share that experience with students.
I'm occasionally asked what is my favorite fruit to work with, and I just can't get enough nectarines right now. The color, the acidity, the dripping juice...to me, it symbolizes summer. You don't even need to turn it into anything else, but it sure does make a delicious galette. Perfect for dessert or brunch.
I, of course, don't discriminate when it comes to peak-ripeness stonefruit and I'm doing my best to take advantage of the tidal wave of summer produce. I'd love to hear about or see pictures of what you've been coming up with in your own kitchen.
Lastly, it's only fitting that our next issue of Parker Hill Post will focus on stonefruit! Check out a sneak peek below for yourself or to brighten the mailbox of a lucky recipient.
