About
Parker Hill Provisions
The techniques behind Michelin-starred pastry made approachable, hands-on, and yours to take home.
Named after our little corner of Sonoma County, Parker Hill Provisions is a hands-on cooking and baking school based in Healdsburg, California. Our small-group classes (typically six to eight students) are held at a range of venues across Sonoma County, primarily in Healdsburg.
From flaky, golden croissants to tender scones to tarts topped with smooth pastry cream and fresh fruit, each class breaks down professional techniques into steps you can repeat at home. You work side by side with your instructor, get real-time feedback, and leave with everything you made.
Whether you've never laminated dough or you've been baking for years, our classes meet you where you are. You'll work with your hands, learn why each step matters, and leave with something you're proud to share.

Lisal
Before she ever touched laminated dough, Lisal Moran studied economics at Claremont McKenna College and worked in management consulting at Monitor Group. She left consulting, assembled a portfolio of homemade desserts, and took it door to door until Blackmarket Bakery in Orange County gave her a chance.
From there she trained in some of the Bay Area's most demanding kitchens — the 1-Michelin-star Spruce in San Francisco, Station 1 in Woodside, and the 2-Michelin-star Baumé in Palo Alto. The work was exhilarating, but behind the kitchen door she never got to see guests enjoy what she made.
She started teaching on her own, offering private classes in cheesemaking, holiday gift making, cookie workshops, ice cream, and galettes. That's when she discovered what had been missing. "Even after just the first class, it completely reinvigorated my interest and respect for the craft." That led to several years as Classes Director at Quail & Condor, recognized by The New York Times as one of the country's top bakeries, where she developed hands-on workshops that break down complex pastry techniques for home bakers.
She launched Parker Hill Provisions in 2024. Her signature croissant workshop (the most-requested class) along with seasonal favorites like Bûche de Noël, holiday gift making, pie dough, and pâte à choux have drawn hundreds of students to her classes. She also teaches at Artisan Baking Center in Petaluma.
"All that I picked up with my restaurant experience — there's no reason to keep it secret."
Lisal grew up in California's Sacramento Valley, where her mom grew amazing produce and her dad had a serious sweet tooth. She lives in Santa Rosa with her husband and three kids, who eagerly help with class recipe testing.
