Crème Fraîche, Cultured Butter & Shortcakes (Tonight, 8/3): If you've been thinking of checking out one of our classes, this is a great one. It's shorter in length, but still packed with helpful tips and straightforward recipes you can easily replicate at home but still impress. Note: it has a new time, 5-6:30PM
Jam Club (this Friday, 8/8): Have any tasty fruit to jam? We'll be getting together this Friday to turn tasty summer fruits into shelf-stable jam. It's so nice to gift something homemade during the holiday season, or be able to crack open a jar mid-February when it's dreary outside. We'll provide all the tools, jars, labels, and ingredients. If you have a bumper crop of fruit to bring, you'll get $20 off.
Honey & Harvest Lunch Workshop @ La Ruche (Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, 8/30): We've been wanting to offer classes earlier in the day, so we'll be popping up in new places soon. The first stop is La Ruche, a honey tasting room, in downtown Healdsburg. I encourage you to check out all the amazing honey! I really couldn't believe the sheer number of local products and imported delicacies from around the world. We'll be using different honeys in our recipes and learn how to enjoy and balance their unique flavor.
Lastly, I've really enjoyed getting to know many of you in class. Whether you have been a regular over the past few years or have joined us for a one-time special occasion. I really appreciate the community we build during each class. Class typically starts out with quiet anticipation and uncertainty, and by the end there is joyous chatter between new friends as we divvy up all the treats.
I enjoy making and eating food, but the opportunity to share my passion with other food enthusiasts is what makes it worth it. Thank you!
