If someone is interested in engraving but hasn't quite made the leap, what would you say to encourage them?

The best way to learn a thing, is to DO the thing! We can watch tutorials and read every single piece of literature on a particular skill, but it's not until we actively engage with it that we truly see progress. I love making a seemingly complicated skill attainable and showing people a new way to express their creativity.

What's a memorable moment from a past class?

I had a mom attend a workshop with her teenage son. It was so sweet to see them work together throughout the class. Such a bonding experience!

Where do you go in Sonoma County to get inspired? To relax and take a break?

I may be THE biggest homebody you'll ever meet — my favorite place to relax is my living room couch while my kids are at school. I'm also obsessed with books, so I love flipping through my recent finds, poring over new techniques and ideas.

What are your favorite places to eat in Sonoma County right now?

I can’t get enough of Avid Coffee’s avocado toast (add bacon — trust me), and I dream of the crispy deep dish corners of Acre Pizza!
